The Company wishes to internally recruit a qualified, competent and results oriented individual to fill the below position, in order to provide overall supervision in one of our major assignments.

JOB TITLE: SECURITY SUPERVISORS (3 POSTS)
REPORT TO: FIELD OFFICERS

Security Supervisors works in cooperation with Operations Administrator (OA), Field Officer (FO), Clients, Control room Manager and other Security Officers.

Education:

Diploma or certificate in Security Management, Criminology, Business Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience:

Supervisory/Leadership is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

Team leadership, Computer skills, Problem solving & Conflict resolution, Excellent Communication (both verbal and written), Disaster management, Supervision, Report writing, Basic Investigations, able to work under pressure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall in-charge of the guard force at the assignment.
  • Provide a link between the client and the company.
  • Ensure optimum guards deployment.
  • Ensure full compliance with the assignment Standard Operating Procedures / Specific Posts Instructions by all the guards.
  • Liaise with the Security Manager to share updates, intelligence and threat status.
  • Be in touch with control room for effective communication issues.
  • Conduct irregular spot checks on guards at allocated posts.
  • Coordinate with external emergency response teams in liaison with the Security Manager.
  • Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the assignment Occurrence Book then escalated to BM Security control room and the Security Manager.
  • Enforce emergency procedures in the event of any demanding situation.
  • Facilitate police visits whenever critical incidents are experienced.
  • Secure incident scenes to avoid contaminating the evidence thereof.
  • Hold weekly Timaam parades for both shifts to communicate performance related issues and company policies.
  • Perform any other lawful duty as may be assigned by his/her seniors from time to time.

Secondary Certificate.

Experience:

Possess driving experience or demonstrate willingness to undertake driving classes and drive a motor vehicle, with a clean work record.

Desirable Attributes:

Good communication and Public Relations skills, Customer service skills, Flexibility on shift time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take full responsibility of the vehicle assigned to him/her.
  • Check the vehicle for serviceability.
  • Carefully and courteously drive the vehicles on company errands and duties to protect the company’s image.
  • Clean the vehicles.
  • Ensure the vehicle is fueled to adequate levels at all times.
  • Ensure the vehicle is optimally supplied with optimum levels of lubes and brake fluid.
  • Obey all the traffic rules.
  • Undertake Hand Over / Take Over duties as per the laid down procedures of the Company.
  • Protect all Company property under his/her charge as a driver.
  • Report any traffic incidents involving the company Vehicle to the company and to the police promptly.

Training:

Degree/ Diploma in Security Management/ Business/Social studies or any other relevant field with a Minimum of Grade C (Minus) in KCSE or equivalent

Experience:

Possess motorbike riding experience or demonstrate willingness to undertake riding classes and ride a motorbike.

Skills

Communication and PR Skills, Report writing and analytical skills , Conflict resolution ,Use of Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP )

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake effective field supervision at least twice in each shift
  • Ensure proper turnout of all staff in area of operation
  • Plan and effect procedural deployment of staff as per client requirements/ contract
  • Prepare daily and monthly operational reports in area of assignment
  • Ensure each SO is sober, alert, properly uniformed and conversant with the SOPs for his assignment.
  • Correctly populate the checking list for his area and report to the controller & O.A to populate the muster roll. This is to be done IMMEDIATELY at the end of each 12 hour shift.
  • Handling client complaints immediately and details communicated to the duty controller for entry in the OB.
  • Ensure that company communication (invoices, statements, letters etc) reaches intended recipients in time (Documents and Correspondences)
  • Collect market and operational intelligence
  • Ensure Temporary works orders are signed and payments made.
  • Liaise with controller on duty for field communication
  • Ensure there are REGULAR relievers for each post.
  • Ensure proper induction of guards deployed to new assignments.
  • Issue dispatches & advice on redeployment /release of guards for various leaves
  • Arrange, plan, and replace guards for their weekly rest days and annual leave and communicate replacement arrangements to the client prior to effecting the intended changes
  • Any other lawful duties that may be assigned by the management.

Area Manager Nyanza

AREA MANAGER - NYANZA

The company wishes to recruit a dynamic and self-driven Area Manager who will be responsible for managing the branch processes, people, budgets and service delivery to enable the company achieve its strategic objectives.

Experience:

Over 5 years working experience in security, 3 years MUST be in the private security industry.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Studies, or any other relevant field.

Training:

Advanced professional training in security. Certification in Security Management such as Certified Security Management professional (CSMP), Leadership or other relevant training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage profit and loss accounts for the assigned branch and ensure that all assets allocated to his/ her branch are properly and effectively utilized.
  • Draw realistic and business focused financial year budgets for his/her branch and implement cost control measures.
  • Implement the credit control policy in conjunction with the Finance department.
  • Ensure that all necessary documents are signed for all new services and prepare accurate and detailed monthly reports to the management/customers.
  • Enhance BM Security corporate brand and provide focused leadership.
  • Ensure incidents are investigated and reviewed by the compliance section before sharing with the client
  • Ensure effective management of security operations and supervision in the Branch.
  • Check and verify accuracy of all the Branch documents, e.g., Muster Roll, Guards Scheduling, deployment returns, daily situation reports etc.
  • Ensure that adequate arrangements are made for branch staff to proceed for their annual leave and weekly rest days as required.
  • Draw Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and Service Level Agreements (SLAS) where necessary for all new assignments and signed by both parties.
  • Coordinate and conduct Security Surveys and Risk Assessments as appropriate.
  • Maintain an updated data base for existing and prospective customers.
  • Implement the customer service policy in conjunction with the business development and customer experience department.
  • Prepare and attend Monthly Security Meetings with clients within the Branch.
  • Attend to all client complaints in the Branch and consult where necessary.
  • Manage the human resources within the division in terms of discipline, grievance handling and performance management.
  • Implement the education, training and development policy in the department liaison with the HR Department.
  • Foster mutual interest and encourage teamwork within the division. He/she shall hold regular meetings with branch staff geared towards improving business operations.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

WHO ARE WE?

BM Security Ltd is a leading Security Services Company providing integrated security solutions across the Country. We are urgently recruiting security officers and security Ladies who are Kenyan citizens of high integrity, highly motivated, results-oriented and willing to join our Guarding section for deployment after undergoing Basic Security Training.

    • Form 4 leavers (Those with higher qualifications will also be considered),
    • Height of 5 feet 5 inches for men and 5 feet 3 inches for ladies.
    • A minimum of a KCSE Certificate.
    • Aged between 28 and 45 years for men and 26 to 35 years for Ladies.
    • In possession of a valid certificate of good conduct (not exceeding one year old)
      or ready to apply for the same.
    • Physically and medically fit.
    • With good eyesight and sense of hearing.
    • Proficiency in English & and Kiswahili both oral and written, besides, good interpersonal skills.
    • If one has worked elsewhere, then he/she must have a clean work history and
      provide proof through a letter from the most recent employer.
  • Post-secondary training will be an added advantage
