JOB TITLE: INTELLIGENCE OFFICER
REPORT TO: INVESTIGATION SERVICES MANAGER
The company wishes to recruit a dynamic and self-driven Intelligence Officer who will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and disseminating actionable intelligence on crime trends, operational threats, fraud, misconduct, and security vulnerabilities affecting clients and the organization.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in criminology, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Forensic Investigation, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in intelligence, investigations, law enforcement, corporate security, or risk management with proven experience in surveillance, intelligence analysis, and investigative reporting.
Certifications:
Intelligence Analysis / Criminal Intelligence certification, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Security management or risk management certifications or Investigation or forensic training certifications
Technical Skills:
Intelligence analysis and reporting tools, Data analysis and link analysis techniques, Strong report writing and documentation skills and Knowledge of investigative procedures and chain of custody protocols
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishing and maintaining intelligence collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination systems.
- Identify reliable sources of information for realtime and periodic security reports for clients and internal use
- Conducting covert and overt intelligence operations, including surveillance and intelligence-led monitoring.
- Developing and managing confidential informant networks and intelligence sources.
- Conducting intelligence analysis, including profiling, link analysis, and pattern identification related to fraud, theft, collusion, misconduct, and organized crime.
- Preparing intelligence briefs, threat assessments, risk advisories, and analytical reports for management and clients.
- Conducting interviews and assisting in statement recording and investigative documentation.
- Maintaining intelligence databases, records, and ensuring confidentiality and proper chain of custody.
- Providing intelligence support during crisis management, emergencies, and sensitive investigations.
- Participating in client engagements involving intelligence assessments and security recommendations.
- Identifying procedural gaps and recommending corrective and preventive measures.
- Conducting risk assessments and security evaluations of client operations and environments.
- Developing proactive security and loss prevention strategies based on intelligence outputs.
- Liaising with law enforcement and relevant stakeholders where necessary for intelligence collection.
- Preparing periodic intelligence and operational reports for management.
- Participating in sectional planning, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build proactive intelligence-gathering mechanisms to monitor crime patterns, emerging risks, and incident trends impacting clients.
- Develop risk advisories and security recommendations informed by intelligence and investigation outcomes.
- Strengthen collaboration with Business Development and Operations Department to integrate intelligence insights into client engagements.
