ALRM/PROJECT TECHNICIAN - (MT. KENYA REGION)

JOB TITLE: ALRM/PROJECT TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: ALARMS SUPERVISOR

Education:

Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Experience:

Demonstrate full understanding of installations and servicing of alarm equipment

Training:

Basic Electrical engineering, experience in Alarm systems, KSIA technical standards for: Alarms, CCTV, Access control

Skills & Attributes:

Basic computer literacy, Report writing, Flexibility, Communication, Problem solving skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficient with the use of materials and point out service sale opportunities
  • Complete jobs in a timely manner and hand over to Supervisor for commissioning and subsequent billing.
  • Deal with customer complaints and demands referring to team leader& Operations Administration Assistant for follow up.
  • Provide quality service to both internal and external customers by completing all tasks accurately and within the set time-frame
  • Be flexible in meeting customer needs. May include use of logistics such as motorcycles or alarm response vehicles
  • Training of Client on the use of the security systems ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Conduct basic incident investigations.
  • Work as a team in collaboration with other technical members of staff.
  • Maintain good turn-out in uniform and display good customer care.
  • Undertake training in systems upgrades according to market demands
  • Assist conduct technical surveys.
  • Handle technical activities related to: Breakdowns, maintenance and installations within the time frame as assigned
  • Ensure re-servicing is conducted according to schedules
  • Comply with KSIA & KBA standards relating to workmanship
  • Record and maintain technical records i.e., worksheets, service schedules, job cards
  • Log movements with control room
  • Commission installations and record necessary records
  • Participate in administrative duties such as delivering invoices, letters and contracts to clients response supervisor
  • Participate in internal and external meetings
  • Maintain and adhere to good housekeeping practices including litter and technical waste management and cleaning of equipment.
  • Observe self-discipline including Health & Safety Best practices at workplaces.
  • Training of New Technicians and others
  • Supporting and enabling new technicians to perform effectively and efficiently.
  • Adapt a learning & growth culture.
